A system (100) for processing georeferenced 3D point clouds is described with an object recognition device (110) which is set up to recognize a first predetermined object in a first georeferenced 3D point cloud, an extraction device (120) which is set up for this to extract terrestrial coordinates of the first recognized object from the first georeferenced 3D point cloud, and a calculation device (130) which is set up to calculate dimensions of the first recognized object based on the terrestrial coordinates of the first recognized object. The first georeferenced 3D point cloud represents a photograph of a trench, and the first predetermined object is a line and/or a component for electricity, gas, water, district heating or communication supply.
