The present invention provides a battery pack including a slave BMS for diagnosing an error of a battery module. The battery pack of the present invention includes a master BMS and a first slave BMS. When an error has occurred in a first battery module, the first slave BMS determines whether the error is fatal. The first slave BMS communicates with the master BMS in a time period corresponding to the ID (identification) of the first slave BMS, changes the ID based on whether the error is fatal, and outputs information on the error to the master BMS in a time period corresponding to the changed ID.
