Provided are a curable composition capable of forming a film having excellent light resistance and moisture resistance, a near-infrared absorber, a film, a near-infrared cut filter, a solid-state image sensor, an image display device, and an infrared sensor. The curable composition contains a near-infrared absorbing dye having a group represented by the formula (1) and a curable compound. Wherein, G 1 represents NR G1 or oxygen atom, R G1 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent. G 2 represents a monovalent substituent having a steric parameter -Es'' value of 2.4 or more.
