The present invention relates to an active material suitable for the production of electrodes, in particular electrodes for Li-S batteries. The active material according to the invention comprises carbon nanofillers uniformly dispersed in the material of the sulfur material, which can be obtained by a method involving melting in the presence of strong mechanical energy. The amount of carbon nanofiller in the active material accounts for 1 to 25% by weight relative to the total weight of the active material.
