A method of treating neurodevelopmental disorders such as angelmann syndrome and autism including administering an ingredient containing an agonist ligand of an IGF-2 receptor to an individual is provided. The agonist ligand of the IGF-2 receptor may be an IGF-2 or mannose-6-phosphate or a derivative thereof. Compositions containing mannose-6-phosphate derivatives are also disclosed.No selection
