APPARATUS FOR ENCODING AND DECODING FOR TRANSFORMATION BETWEEN CODER BASED ON MDCT AND HETERO-CODER

An encoding apparatus and a decoding apparatus in conversion between an MDCT-based coder and a heterogeneous coder are disclosed. When the conversion between the MDCT-based coder and the heterogeneous coder occurs, the encoding apparatus may code the additional information to reconstruct the encoded input signal according to the MDCT-based coding method. According to the encoding apparatus, it is possible to prevent generation of an unnecessary bit stream and to encode a minimum amount of additional information.
