The present invention relates to a method for waterproofing a shingle roof and a waterproof coating structure for a shingle roof formed thereby, (S1) a surface treatment step of cleanly removing contaminants such as laitance, dust and oil attached to the roof base surface ; (S2) forming an undercoating layer with water-soluble urethane on the base surface treated in step (S1); (S3) attaching a glass fiber sheet for waterproofing urethane to the undercoat layer formed in step (S2); (S4) forming an intermediate waterproofing layer by applying a one-component water-soluble urethane waterproofing agent on the sheet attached in the step (S3); and (S5) forming a topcoat waterproofing layer by applying a one-component water-soluble urethane waterproofing agent after the intermediate layer is dried in step (S4). It can be efficiently waterproofed, and can greatly improve weather resistance, water resistance and durability as well as adhesion.
