Provided is a separation method capable of separating isomers of PIPs without deacylating PIPs. In this separation method, a sample containing a plurality of types of PIPs is injected into an analysis channel of a supercritical fluid chromatograph having a separation column filled with a separation medium containing β-cyclodextrin, and supercritical fluid chromatography is performed. It includes at least a separation step for separating the plurality of types of PIPs from each other.
