Provided is a separation method with which isomers of PIPs can be separated without deacylating PIPs. This separation method comprises at least a separation step of injecting a sample containing multiple types of PIPs into an analysis flow path of a supercritical fluid chromatograph having a separation column, the inside of which is filled with a separation medium containing β-cyclodextrin, and separating the multiple types of PIPs from one another by supercritical fluid chromatography.
