A leakage current protection type surge protector using mode combination technology is provided. A leakage current prevention type surge protector using a mode combination technology according to an embodiment of the present invention is a leakage current prevention type surge protector using a mode combination technology installed in a circuit to prevent a surge that may occur due to lightning. In the above, the leakage current prevention type surge protector using the mode combination technology, a zinc oxide varistor (MOV, Metal Oxide Varistor) for removing the excess voltage exceeding the limit voltage of the surge voltage; a first gas discharge gap (GDT, Gas Discharge Tube arrester) for obtaining the limiting voltage passing through the zinc oxide varistor and removing the first rapid flow; and a second gas discharge gap (GDT) installed to remove the second rapid flow generated while the first rapid flow passes through the first gas discharge gap (GDT), wherein the MOV, the first GDT and the second GDT are connected in order.
