Aesthetic holographic wearable eye device and production method thereof

A wearable ocular device (eg, an ocular prosthesis or contact lens) that uses a diffraction grating to generate color and a method for producing such a device are provided. A diffraction grating on the device may diffract incident light to an observer. The result may be a colored light that appears to originate from the wearer''s eye. A diffraction grating may achieve a look or feel that is qualitatively or quantitatively different from that achieved by previous devices using dyes or inks.
