An apparatus for detecting and interrupting a sleep apnea episode configured to be worn on the head of a person during a phase of sleep of said person, comprises: * an acquisition module configured to acquire at least a measurement signal representative of a physiological signal from the person, * a module for analyzing said measurement signal to detect or predict an episode of sleep apnea, * an emission module designed to emit a noise rose intended for the person so as to trigger a subcortical awakening of the person, when an episode of sleep apnea is detected or predicted by the analysis module.
