In the present invention, an automatic door device comprises: a sliding door that opens and closes due to a drive unit; an infrared sensor that has a light projection unit that projects a detection light, a light reception unit that receives a reflection of the detection light, and a detection area, the infrared sensor outputting a signal used for an opening and closing control of the sliding door on the basis of the amount of light received by the light reception unit; and a condition monitoring unit that monitors the condition of the infrared sensor.
