According to one embodiment, a nonaqueous electrolyte battery is provided. The nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode material layer. The negative electrode material layer includes a titanium-containing oxide as a negative electrode active material. The separator is positioned at least between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. A logarithmic differential pore volume distribution curve of the separator obtained by a mercury intrusion method includes a first peak and a second peak. The first peak is a local maximum value where a pore diameter is in the range of 0.02 µm or more and 0.15 µm or less. The second peak is a local maximum value where the pore diameter is in the range of 1.5 µm or more and 30 µm or less. A ratio P2I/P1I of an intensity P2I of the second peak to an intensity P1I of the first peak is more than 1.00 and not more than 3.00. The pore specific surface area of the separator obtained by the mercury intrusion method is 70 m2/g or more.
