The present invention relates to a method for the fast calculation of the decay of the lifetime of a fluorescence signal, comprising the following steps:a. providing a fluorescent sample to analyze and, starting from the photons emitted as a result of excitation by an external pulsed laser source, building a histogram of the decay lifetime of the fluorescence signal associated to said fluorescent sample;b. calculating a first g and a second s phasor;c. calculating the phase and modulation of said fluorescence signal, starting from said first g and second s phasor, in vector form;d. calculating the lifetime of said fluorescence signal starting from said phase and modulation, calculated in said step c.; ande. displaying the values of said first g and second s phasor.The present invention also relates to a system (S) of implementing the method.
