Device for implanting an inflatable intragastric balloon for implanting the intragastric balloon in a stomach, comprising: - a sheath elastically deformable and configured to receive the intragastric balloon in the deflated state, the sheath comprising a wall lateral, - a tube configured to be supplied with a fluid and to conduct the fluid to inflate the intragastric balloon, the tube comprising a mouthpiece, the intragastric balloon being attached to the mouthpiece in the deflated state and being detached of the mouthpiece in the inflated state, the mouthpiece having an inflation position in which said mouthpiece extends into the cavity of the sheath, and the side wall of the sheath having a lateral opening configured to let out the intra-balloon -gastric cavity when said intragastric balloon passes from the deflated state to the inflated state.
