A child state detection method and apparatus, an electronic device, a computer readable storage medium, and a computer program product. The method comprises: first obtaining a target image in a vehicle cabin; and then recognizing a child in the target image; and determining, on the basis of position information of the child, whether the child is located on a rear seat in the vehicle cabin; and finally, when the child is not located on the rear seat in the vehicle cabin, sending an alarm. The method can effectively perform recognition and early warning on the child riding security.
