A video processing method is provided, the video processing method performing a motion information refinement process based on samples in a first domain or a second domain for transition between a current video block of video and a coded representation of the video to do; and performing a transition based on a result of the motion information refinement process, wherein during the transition, samples for the current video block are obtained from the first predictive block in the first domain using unrefined motion information and , at least a second predictive block is generated in the second domain using the refined motion information used to determine the reconstruction block, and reconstructed samples of the current video block are generated based on at least the second predictive block.
