PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic fluid damper in which a permanent magnet is not easily crushed, is easy to process, and has a high vibration absorbing effect. SOLUTION: A plurality of permanent magnets 210, 220 and a porous medium member 310 are provided inside a housing 100 that defines a cavity. The porous medium member 310 is located between two permanent magnets 210 and 220 adjacent to each other in the first direction, and the voids of the porous medium member 310 are filled with the magnetic fluid 610. Disclosed is a ferrofluid damper based on the principle of secondary buoyancy, which includes a plurality of return portions 410 and 420 in which the restoring forces received by the two permanent magnets are not equal. The magnetic fluid damper based on the principle of secondary buoyancy according to the embodiment of the present invention has an advantage that the vibration absorption effect is good and the vibration absorption effect is stable.
