Proposed is a method for decoding one or more images from a bitstream by outputting parameters representing a straight line passing through two points to obtain a target block chroma selection from an associated target block luma selection. The method comprises the stage of determining two points of a straight line, wherein each of the two points is defined by two variables, wherein the first variable of the two variables corresponds to the luma selection and the second variable corresponds to the chroma selection.
