FIELD: railways.;SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to tests of railway transport. The system for modeling the contact between the wheel and the rail, in particular, of a railway vehicle, contains a hollow cylindrical structure, a wheel, the first engine (M1), the second engine (M2), a pollution control system, the first and second torque sensor and a processing means. The cylindrical structure includes imitation of a rail surface, which is made as one with the inner surface of the cylindrical structure. The wheel includes a rolling surface placed in contact with imitation of the rail surface. The first engine (M1) rotates the cylindrical structure, and the second engine (M2) rotates the wheel. The pollution control system controls the distribution of pollution on imitation of the rail surface. The first torque sensor measures the adhesive force (Fa), and the second load sensor measures the normal load force (Fc) on imitation of the rail surface. The processing means calculates the actual coefficient of adhesion of wheels to rails. A method for modeling the contact between the wheel and the rail is also claimed. ;EFFECT: provided is the possibility to model the state of rail pollution.;15 cl, 7 dwg
