The present invention provides an optical buffer unit provided with: a plurality of delay line units that confer delays to an optical signal; and a switch to which an optical signal output from one of the delay line units is input, that has a first output for outputting the optical signal to the next delay line unit and a second output for outputting the optical signal to another device, and that outputs the optical signal from either the first output or the second output.
