PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep light output level constant with high precision, to emit light from a laser diode in a stable level and to improve the reliability of the laser diode by selectively outputting a light control signal, by which the level of a light signal from a light source becomes low, to the light source-side. ;SOLUTION: A remote light signal controller 10 is provided with a light transmission part 1 transmitting the light signal from the light source for light transmission 3 and a light reception part 2 provided so that it is detached from the light transmission part 1. A first control part 5 generates a first light control signal for controlling the state of the light signal from the light source 3 based on light detection information detected by a first light detection part 4 in the light reception part 2. The second control part 7 of the light transmission part 1 generates a second light control signal for controlling the state of the light signal from the light source 3 based on the light- emitting state of the light source 3. A switch part 8 selectively outputs the light control signal by which the level of the light signal from the light source 3 becomes small to the light source 3-side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
