PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pumping method and an in-situ purifying method of contaminated groundwater which enables removing a metal contained in the groundwater in soil in advance before water treatment or ground water purification.SOLUTION: The pumping method of contaminated groundwater for pumping groundwater contaminated with an organic contaminant comprises an alkali supplying step of supplying alkali to soil around a pumping well for pumping the groundwater; and a pumping step of pumping the groundwater from the pumping well. The in-situ purifying method of the contaminated groundwater for purifying the groundwater contaminated with the organic contaminant in the soil comprises an alkali supplying step of supplying the alkali to a soil containing the groundwater; and a chemical agent supplying step of supplying a chemical agent for purifying the groundwater to a soil in a downstream side of an alkali supply position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
