An unmanned aerial system for transporting and delivering packages (PiBjDk), comprising an unmanned motorised aircraft (Dk) and a non-motorised aerostatic device (Bj) having aerostatic lift and being able to be coupled to said motorised aircraft, for transporting at least one package (Pi) from a take-off site (1) to a delivery site (2). This aerial system cooperates with a site (3) for storing and distributing aerostatic modules (B) each having a predetermined modular aerostatic lift, said storage and distribution site (3) being located in the vicinity of the take-off site (1) and being configured to deliver a set of j aerostatic modules on demand, which modules are secured by coupling means, so as to supply an aerostatic device (Bj) with static lift that is substantially greater than or equal to the overall weight of the package (Pi) to be transported and of said aerostatic device (Bj).
