To adjust gate resistance easily.SOLUTION: A gate resistance adjusting device includes: a waveform input unit for inputting a waveform of a drain voltage or a collector voltage at least at one of when a switching element is turned on and when it is turned off and a drain current or a collector current; an extraction unit for extracting based on a waveform input in the waveform input unit, time required for at least one of turn-on and turn-off of the switching element and the drain current or the collector current of the switching element in a steady state; a calculation unit for calculating gate resistance of the switching element based on the time and the drain current or collector current in the steady state extracted in the extraction unit; and a setting unit for setting the gate resistance calculated by the calculation unit to the switching element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
