To provide methods for treating Prader-Willi syndrome.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for treating Prader-Willi syndrome comprising administering to a patient an effective amount of a composition comprising a selective oxytocin receptor agonist or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The agonist includes the compounds of Formula (I) where W and X are respectively CHand S, A is alanine, tyrosine, and phenylalanine substituted with halogen etc. on the phenyl ring, B is isoleucine and glycine substituted on the α-carbon with C-cycloalkyl, C is proline substituted with hydroxyl, C-alkoxy, halogen or azide on the side chain, D is leucine, homoleucine, isoleucine, and glycine substituted on the α-carbon with C-cycloalkyl, and E is glycine and azaglycine.SELECTED DRAWING: None
