To provide a technique capable of improving a color reproduction accuracy of a profile representing a correspondence relation between a coordinate value of a device dependent color space and a coordinate value of a profile connection space.SOLUTION: In a target acquisition step, an adjustment target using a coordinate of a second device dependent color space as a reference with respect to an adjustment point corresponding to an adjustment target color is acquired. Here, in an output profile representing a correspondence relation between a device independent coordinate value and a second coordinate value of the second device dependent color space, a color conversion table used for conversion from the device independent coordinate value to the second coordinate value is defined as a first conversion table, and the device independent coordinate value at the adjustment point is set to an adjustment target PCS value. In an optimization step, an optimal solution of the device independent coordinate value corresponding to the adjustment target is obtained by optimization processing including an element that brings a provisional color value close to the adjustment target, the provisional color value being obtained according to the first conversion table by converting a provisional PCS value which is obtained by changing the adjustment target PCS value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
