The present invention provides an imaging camera for marine observation buoys that uses image information captured by installing a video surveillance camera on a marine observation buoy to precisely observe the scale of the wave in conjunction with the wind direction anemometer observation information and determine the reliability of the wave estimation. It relates to the wave observation method and system used, and by analyzing the image information obtained through the camera module capable of shooting 360° omnidirectional and observing the wave, the system is lighter than the marine observation equipment equipped with an expensive wave height sensor, thereby reducing the introduction cost. It can save money and improve the precision of ocean weather observation and ocean weather forecast through reliability verification of wave estimation.
