Disclosed are a method and a system for building a predictive model for providing a user recommendation service based on location information. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for providing a user recommendation service based on a prediction model includes collecting location information of a user terminal for a predetermined period of time; clustering the location information collected during the predetermined period according to location and time; building a predictive model for the movement pattern of the user terminal based on the clustered location information; and providing a user recommendation service for recommending another user corresponding to the movement pattern of the corresponding user to the user terminal by using the constructed prediction model.
