The negative electrode material of one lithium ion battery according to the present invention has silicon microparticles formed by pulverization of crystalline silicon. By employing each of the above-described negative electrode materials, it is possible to obtain a lithium ion battery with little change in charge/discharge capacity even if charge/discharge is repeated.
