To provide a friendship degree measuring device capable of properly grasping what sorts of thoughts and feelings a pet and a human have.SOLUTION: A pet and human friendship degree measuring device includes: contact state detection means 52 for detecting a distance between a pet and a human, and detecting a state of contact between the pet and the human based on the distance; relaxation state detection means 51 for detecting heartbeat information on the pet and the human, and detecting states of relaxation of the pet and the human based on the heartbeat information; friendship degree derivation means 55 for deriving a degree of friendship between the pet and the human based on a relaxation degree using a ratio of the time that the states of relaxation are detected to the time that the state of contact is detected; and display control means 56 for displaying the derived degree of friendship in display means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
