To provide a lifting and hanging method of a heavy object capable of preventing a heavy load from occurring due to the heavy object coming into contact with a storage container when lifting/hanging the heavy object from/to the storage container.SOLUTION: A load cell 5 measures a lifting load of a heavy object with a hydraulic jack 1. At the time of lifting the heavy object, a controller 3 transmits a lifting stop command of the heavy object to a hydraulic pump 2 when the load cell 4 detects an abnormal value in which the lifting load of the heavy object exceeds a preset threshold value. On the other hand, at the time of handing the heavy object, the controller 3 transmits a command to switch to the lifting side of the heavy object to the hydraulic pump 2 at a prescribed time when the load cell 5 detects an abnormal value in which the hanging load of the heavy object is less than the preset threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
