To provide flavin-binding glucose dehydrogenases having high substrate specificity and sufficient heat stability and suitable for efficient production using Escherichia coli, yeast, fungi etc. as host cells.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a FAD-GDH having a modified genetic sequence, derived from a microorganism classified into Mucoromycotina. This FAD-GDH, when produced using yeast as a host, exhibits 50% or more residual activity after the heat treatment at 55°C for 15 min., whose reactivity to xylose is 2% or less of reactivity to glucose.SELECTED DRAWING: None
