Said device comprises a rack (100), a first supporting plate (210), a second supporting plate (310) and a paper shifting mechanism (500); the rack (100) is provided with a first accommodating cavity (220) and a second accommodating cavity (320), and along a stacking direction of sheet media, the first accommodating cavity (220) has a first end provided with a paper inlet (270), and a second end provided with a paper outlet (370) and a separation mechanism; the first supporting plate (210) and the second supporting plate (310) can move along the stacking direction of the sheet media and have a paper discharging position and a receiving position; and the paper shifting mechanism (500) is provided adjacent to the paper outlet (370), and the paper shifting mechanism (500) is configured to drive the sheet media to move in a direction towards the interior of the first accommodating cavity (220) and away from the paper outlet (370).
