An automated calibration system (200) of a camera system (202, 203, 204, 205) of a vehicle (100) is provided, which identifies unwanted image components that can be traced back to the vehicle in the camera image while the vehicle is traveling. In this way, the representation of the image of the camera system while driving can be improved.
