PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide highly-active modified methylaluminoxane and a catalyst containing the same.;SOLUTION: A modified methylaluminoxane-containing composition is obtained by the reaction between modified methylaluminoxane represented by formula (IA), and a phenolic compound represented by formula (IIA).
