Modular system for packaging inventory and shipping efficiency

Disclosed herein is a modular container system having a child-inaccessible container, a tray insert, and a tray frame. Also disclosed are methods of using the modular container system and methods of storing materials in containers. The container has a container base and a container cap to provide a child-proof container. The user can releasably remove the container cap from the container base with a squeezing and lifting procedure. For example, a user can squeeze both sides of the container base, thereby unlocking the locking mechanism and lifting or pulling the container cap from the container base to remove the cap. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allows the organization, efficiency, access and storage of containers that children cannot handle.
