An energy-saving method for an electric vehicle, comprising: calculating, on the basis of the wheel radius of an electric vehicle, of an electric motor rotational speed range in which the efficiency the efficiency of an electric motor of the electric vehicle is greater than a first preset value, and of the transmission ratio of a transmission system, a target speed range in which the efficiency of the electric motor is greater than the first preset value; and controlling the electric vehicle to travel at a speed in the target speed range. Also related are an energy-saving device for the electric vehicle, the electric vehicle, and a machine-readable storage medium. The method further reduces the electricity consumption of the electric vehicle and greatly improves the range of the electric vehicle.
