Covariance matrix for adaptive beamforming

摘要

Method and apparatus for generating a covariance matrix during adaptive beamforming of a multi-beam antenna. This method efficiently computes the covariance matrix using the upper-right triangle of the covariance and the time sharing of the complex conjugate multiplier. In addition, a variable number of beams may be selected from the covariance matrix according to the operating environment of the multi-beam antenna.
