The present disclosure relates to a method of verifying information received through an instant messaging application operating in a user terminal and providing a video call service. The information verification method includes receiving a gender associated with a first user account, receiving an image including a face captured through an image sensor while an application is running, and inputting the received image into an artificial neural network model. Thus, it includes outputting a gender associated with the face included in the received image, and verifying the received gender based on the output gender.
