Disclosed are an apparatus and method for diagnosing a combustion state based on flame spontaneous spectroscopy, and a recording medium capable of diagnosing a combustion state by analyzing spectral characteristics of spontaneous flame generated in a combustion reaction and measuring a fuel concentration. Flame spontaneous spectroscopy-based combustion state diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention analyzes the spectral characteristics of spontaneous flame generated in the combustion reaction, and measures the amount of fuel based on the spectral characteristics of the analyzed spontaneous flame.
