PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for identifying the credibility of news. A method stores information about a plurality of media sources, a plurality of journalists, and a plurality of predetermined topics in a memory. Receive news content over a communication network. The news content received is evaluated to identify relevant media sources, relevant journalists, and at least one relevant predetermined topic. The current scores of the relevant media source, the relevant journalist, and at least one relevant predetermined topic are identified based on the stored information. Credibility scores are scored based on the identified current scores of relevant media sources, relevant journalists and at least one relevant predetermined topic.
