PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which can prevent degradation of a sample blood easily and allows a quantitative detection of red blood cells infected with malaria parasites.SOLUTION: The above object is achieved by thawing a frozen blood sample containing substantially no freeze storage liquid and detecting red blood cells infected by malaria parasites in the thawed blood sample.SELECTED DRAWING: None
