PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: Although calcium propionate has an effect of suppressing an alkali-aggregate reaction of concrete, there is a problem that hydration and coagulation of cement are delayed when mixed and kneaded. The present invention provides a method for imparting an effect of suppressing an alkali-aggregate reaction to concrete without affecting the effect of cement. SOLUTION: A cement-based cured product containing an aggregate is immersed in an aqueous solution of calcium propionate having a concentration of about 5 to 26% by mass in the air or a vacuum, or the aqueous solution is immersed in a cement-based cured product containing an aggregate.
