A bidding assistance system for assisting in electric power transactions pertaining to the adjustment of electric power in an electric power system at a transaction target time, the bidding assistance system comprising: a reception unit for receiving bidding information that corresponds to the transaction target time from two or more facility terminals respectively belonging to two or more facilities having at least to-be-controlled equipment, which can be controlled by a management entity; a management unit for managing, for each of the two or more facilities, the adjustable electric power that corresponds to the transaction target time; and a control unit for determining, on the basis of the bidding information and the adjustable electric power, a candidate for a bid facility for an electric power transaction market from among the two or more facilities. The bidding information includes a value for the use of the to-be-controlled equipment. The adjustable electric power refers to the electric power of an electric power system that can be adjusted by control of the to-be-controlled equipment.
