SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING DIFFERENT TYPES OF REGISTRATIONS FOR IMS SERVICES ON SIMS OF A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE

Methods and devices are disclosed for managing Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) service registrations on a wireless communication device having at least one SIM supporting IMS services. The wireless communication device may access the network operator policies stored in the SIM(s) and, for each SIM, may identify the enabled IMS services. The wireless communication device also identifies the type of registration for each enabled IMS service on each SIM based on the accessed network operator policies, and whether to perform a single registration or dual IMS registration for each of the at least one SIM. It may determine whether or not, using the accessed network operator policies, to perform the determined registration and, for each SIM, to maintain registration of the enabled IMS services.
