A method and system for adapting an active smart hearing aid based on artificial intelligence are disclosed. An artificial intelligence-based active smart hearing aid fitting method includes the steps of, by an artificial intelligence server, storing fitting data for a surrounding environment in a database in consideration of a user's life pattern and a living space; Transmitting, by a smart terminal possessed by the user, real-time environmental data around the user to an artificial intelligence server; Extracting features by converting, by the artificial intelligence server, sound data included in the environmental data into Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC); Determining, by the artificial intelligence server, a user's surrounding environment in consideration of the extracted features and the environment data; Retrieving, by the artificial intelligence server, fitting data corresponding to the determined surrounding environment from among the fitting data for each surrounding environment stored in the database; Transmitting, by the artificial intelligence server, the searched fitting data to the hearing aid through the smart terminal; And applying, by the hearing aid, the received fitting data to acoustic filtering. According to the present invention, it is possible to predict customized fitting data for each user, provide an optimal sound suitable for a living pattern or a living space without manual adjustment by the user, and generate an optimal sound even in a real life environment.
