The invention concerns a device (1) for the clinical monitoring of patients, with at least one sensor (2) for the detection of physiological parameters, at least one electronic device (3) for the control of the sensor (2) and for the reading, recording and/ or transmission of data recorded by the sensor (2), where the device (1) comprises a module carrier (4, 5), the sensor (2) and the electronic device (3) are designed as module elements which are modular inoperable on the module carrier (4).
