The present invention relates to a focusing system characterised in that it comprises a concave lens comprising a flat central area and a polymer coating that coats the lens, which can be used as part of a targeted air-coupled ultrasonic emitter, a targeted air-coupled ultrasonic receiver or a targeted air-coupled ultrasonic transducer, the transducer and/or the receiver comprising said system. The invention also relates to the emitter, the receiver and the transducer that comprise the focusing system. The invention belongs to the field of the design and production of ultrasonic transducers, more specifically the production of air-coupled, targeted, piezoelectric, ultrasonic transducers for operating in transmission and reception mode.
